Birth Doula Training and Certification

Certification Costs

The cost for our Birth Doula Certification Program with personalized, mentored support with a dedicated Certification Coach is either $1000 or $500.00. If you can afford more, you are asked to pay more. That fully supports our mission and makes room for doulas who need to pay the lower amount.

We trust you. You don’t have to prove anything. You’ll choose what price you can afford and get the same thing. That’s equity.

You can always pay the affordable price now and pay towards the full amount later as you gain clients. We also have a payment plan.

New Doula Program Cost: $1000.00 or $500.00

60% of your fee ($600/300.00) goes directly to your Certification Coach for conducting 21 small group meetings over 13 months; and an Affirmation of Doula Skills interview (if needed)

10% of your fee ($100/50.00) goes to the Reader of all your birth stories, observation sheets, feedback forms, etc. (Amy Gilliland)

17% of your fee ($120/60.00) startup costs in designing the program/overhead costs

The other 13% covers:

Certification Coordinator compensation

supplies and shipping (over three years)

Doula Business Guide Workbook, Birth and Attachment

office work, record keeping time (over three years)

identification badge, clip, and lanyard* (upon completion)

directory listing for two years*

Established Doula/Health Care Provider Cost: $500.00/$300.00

40% of your fee ($200/120.00) goes directly to your Certification Coach for conducting 6 Book Club meetings over 3 months; plus Affirmation of Doula Skills interview (if needed)

17% of your fee ($100/50.00) goes to the Reader of all your birth stories, observation sheets, feedback forms, etc. (Amy Gilliland)

20% of your fee ($120/60.00) startup costs in designing the program/overhead costs
