Exciting Changes for Doulaing The Doula
What I’ve Been Up To:
I’ve been working so hard these past few years, becoming a businesswoman as well as a curriculum author; and a team leader. These are things I’ve never done before. To launch Doulaing The Doula as a business that would serve others, I had to figure out a business model, a plan of strategy, and budgets and finances. We needed a marketing plan, a new website, and a team that could interpret my vision and take my lead. All the while, I’m working to heal my body from EDS and fibromyalgia and nurse my husband with his declining medical conditions. It has been this work, my vision, of creating a doula focused education business that could really serve the doula community, that has kept me going. Now we are full and ready to burst with new products, trainings, and opportunities to serve you.
What You Can Expect:
In the next few months, you can expect to see a new website, new training/certification and Foundations packages, new financial aid packages, learning communities for new and experienced doulas, this year’s new online course – the DTD Postpartum Course and the launch this November of our Postpartum Doula Training, Certification and Coaching Programs. Our PP director will work with each cohort for seven months or more to get them launched, working with their first families and completing certification!
Our New Postpartum Program
I’m so excited about our Postpartum Program – its relationship and development focused to encourage positive attachment relationships in the family. It’s so much more than Dr. Marshall Klaus’ original vision of “Mothering The Mother”, we want the “Doula The Family”.
What else is new? I’m adding team members so I can do less…stay tuned to future blogs as we introduce all these new changes and team members!
