Usually, there is no class size limit for Intro Classes.  We’re able to spread out comfortably and still meet safety guidelines.

Introduction to Childbirth Course for Professionals

Date: Wed, May 19 & 26th, 5:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. 

Anyone may take this course even if you are not taking the doula training workshop.

Tuition: The cost is $120 for people taking only this course. It is included in the price of the Birth Doula Workshop.

Birth Doula Workshop

Work weekends? Have religious observances you don’t want to miss? Like to learn at a slower pace?  THIS is the training for  you!  Our assistant for this series will be Janine Gardner of Prism Doula Services and the Madison Doula Collective.

Date: Wednesday Evenings June 2 – July 14th, 5:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. CST  (one extra meeting scheduled in case its needed)

Tuition: $650.00, an early registration discount of $25.00 if paid by May 12th.

Online! August 2021 Workshop for Nurses, Physicians, Nursing and Medical Students

This training is for people who intend to use skills as nurses and physicians.  A few seats are available for non-medical people. For details on curriculum, please visit this page. Prerequisites are the same as other workshops.

This training offers 18 Nursing Continuing Education Hours. Amy Gilliland is an approved provider by the State of California Board of Nursing, #16959.

(FREE for HCP and students!) Intro to Childbirth:  Wednesday & Thurs August 18 & 19th, 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. CST

Doula Training:  Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 20-23rd, 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. CST

Tuition: Nurse and physician rate is $525, with an early registration discount of $25.00 if paid by July 28th AND a FREE Introduction to Childbirth course (a $120 value)!

Nursing and medical student tuition is $425.00 with an early registration discount of $25.00 if paid by July 28tht AND a FREE Introduction to Childbirth course (a $120 value)!

The Intro to CB for Professionals course examines current birth practices by understanding they are based on our cultural values and beliefs and NOT on the best scientific evidence to treat pregnant bodies.  You’ll also see at least ten births during the course; including sexually pleasurable ones.  Your peers highly recommend this class!

Birth Doula Workshop

Date: Friday, Saturday, Sunday: September 24, 25, 26, 2021, 8:30 a.m. -5:45 p.m.

Location (Both): Country Inn and Suites, Hotel, Brookfield, Wisconsin

Tuition: $525.00, with an early registration discount of $25.00 if paid by September 2, 2021. If you sign up early for both the doula workshop AND the Intro to Childbirth class, your package price is only $600!**

Location: Clarion Suites at the Alliant Energy Center, 2110 Rimrock Road, Madison  

Tuition: $525.00, with an early registration discount of $25.00 if paid by October 1, 2021. If you sign up early for both the doula workshop AND the Intro to Childbirth class, your package price is only $600!**
