Meet Our Certification Coach Robin Fuehrer

Group size is limited to 10 people. 

Robin has been a doula for over five years and is also a successful birth photographer. She has several grown daughters and an adopted two year old son. Robin has served as the president of the Bismarck Doula Community and is an excellent nurturer of new doula talent. Find her on the web as Robin’s Nest Birth Support. The Bismarck, North Dakota, area has fewer than 40,000 people with only two hospitals that do labor and delivery. She’s a great choice for rural doulas.

Meet Our Certification Coach Tori Freund

Group size is limited to 10 people. 

Tori is a full spectrum doula and educator who offers trauma informed, inclusive, affirming and person-centered support to families making many kinds of pregnancy and parenting decisions. Tori says she feels honored to be chosen by all kinds of people as their doula, and is especially welcoming to those whose identities are often unseen and marginalized in our medical care system. Meet Our Certification Coach Kiara Schott

Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. CT, Kiara Schott, beginning December 9

Kiara is a full spectrum doula working with Black families in the Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Racine areas. She is the director of the We RISE doula program through the African American Breastfeeding Network, a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and a placenta encapsulation specialist. Meet Our Certification Coach Amanda Echols

Group size is limited to 10 people. 

Amanda has attended over 200 births, is a Certified Childbirth Educator, Placenta Encapsulator, and in Aromatherapy for Childbirth. Amanda is also a Chiropractic Technician and a Naturopathy and midwifery student. She is the founder of Faithful Haven Doula Collective and serves a five county area in eastern central Wisconsin.  Amanda’s passion is education and looks forward to nurturing new doulas and passing along what she has learned. Meet Our Certification Coach Kay'La Mumford

Wednesdays, 7:00 -8:30 p.m., beginning December 8

Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., beginning January 21

Group size is limited to 10 people. 

Kay’La Mumford is a Full Spectrum Holistic Doula. Kay’La has taken multiple trainings in doula support, placenta encapsulation, and childbirth education. She led the development of the WeRISE doula program through the African American Breastfeeding Network, and has attended hospital births, home births, and unassisted births. Kay’La has two organizations she runs in order to promote the expansion of the birth community to increase birth equity for Black families.  One is a non-profit organization with 501c3 status, Birth and Embrace Communities.

Meet our Certification Coach Amy Gilliland

Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. CT, beginning February 16

Experienced Doula and Health Care Provider Groups meet every two weeks for six Book Club meetings.

Dr. Amy Gilliland, PhD, is the leader of our organization and founder of Doulaing the Doula Birth Doula Trainings and Certification. She enjoys discussing concepts with health care providers and experienced doulas and is the leader of their Mentored Group Support experience.
