Our Postpartum Doula Training is designed to empower postpartum doulas in supporting families when an infant has complex care needs and in helping parents find harmony in a new household. When families are delayed in or won’t be bringing home a baby, our postpartum doulas specialize in nurturing the family through their grief and adjustment process. This three-day in-person workshop covers key topics and support techniques to help postpartum doulas better serve their client families. -

Our DTD Postpartum Course is a comprehensive examination of the first year after a pregnancy ends. Amy Gilliland has spent three years pulling together materials from academic sources as well as raw lived experience to craft this journey. Our DTD Childbirth Course covers the basic knowledge to get started as a doula. It is an excellent resource for any professional working with pregnant families. Our coursework is full of learning activities, videos, and in-depth information you won’t find elsewhere. As a participant, you will receive context for childbirth today while examining the political, racial, social, and psychological aspects of birthing and being born, not just the basic biology. Please note: The DTD Childbirth Course is required to complete our Birth Doula Training workshop. An Intensive, Interactive Three-Day Doula Workshop
This workshop trains participants to become expert labor support providers. During this course we will utilize a 300+ page training and reference manual; leverage videos, slides, games, and activities to increase your knowledge; and use simulations to build confidence and practical skills. This workshop is one step in the process of certifying as a birth doula with Doulaing The Doula.The DTD Childbirth Course is required to complete our Birth Doula Training workshop. This is a one-day course that you can take the day before the three-day Birth Doula Training workshop. This course covers the basic knowledge to get started as a doula. -
Foundations of Doula Practice is open to anyone, including those who have not trained with us, because we want ALL doulas to be successful. Join our experienced Foundations Coaches during this nine meeting course, designed to help you focus on your target clients; set up your practice paperwork; decide on a media/marketing strategy; develop your vision for your doula life; prepare for client meetings, and to support you through your first birth support experiences. Foundations of Doula Practice meets every two or three weeks in a small group. You also receive a one hour one on one session with your Coach, which you can take advantage of at any time.
